Arespi isn’t just another face in the techno world—he's one of the founding fathers of hard techno, a legend whose influence dates back to the mid 80's. Long before techno became mainstream in the Netherlands, Arespi was at the forefront, shaping the Dutch underground scene with his gritty, industrial sound. His early mixtapes, circulated on cassettetapes, were like secret blueprints for a new era of music. These recordings, raw and relentless, became cult favorites among early ravers and techno enthusiasts, spreading across the country and establishing Arespi as a force long before techno gained mass appeal.

In those formative years, Arespi’s DJ sets were the stuff of legend. So many of today's top DJs have openly credited Arespi's legendary 90's mixtapes as a key source of inspiration, with his relentless energy and groundbreaking feelings shaping their approach to techno.
